Those dashboard warning lights

A while back, many things in the car were manual, steering, windows, wing mirrors, etc. Since then cars have become more complex due to electronics and the number of different dashboad warning lights has grown significantly.

Many modern electronic systems like airbags are constantly self-testing and it’s important for you to know whether a warning light requires immediate attention or whether you can carry on with your journey and get a garage to investigateat a later time.

When you see a warning light on your dashboard (and does not dissapear after you’ve started the engine) you should stop safely and in a safe place as soon as possible. Several warning lights are specific to the make or model of the car. Your vehicle handbook should give you a detailed explanation of the warnings, their meaning and what action you should to take.
